Summary of the contents of the programme • Presentation of information in a scientific form • Database designing and multi-media applications using WINISIS, GENISIS and WEBLIS • Website designing using HTML and XML • Elementary statistics for effective information service management and informetrics • Citation analysis and information retrieval instruments • Bibliographic description for books, and thesaurus • Building digital libraries using Greenstone software

  3. Suggestions to improve the organization of the programme • Evaluation of the participants should be made compulsory • The time for the programme should be increased to atleast three and half months

  4. Strong points • Very qualified professors giving assistance whenever you need it • Effective communication between the participants and the stimulate office (Assistant for stimulate 7)

  5. Best academic components of the programme • Database management and multi-media applications using WINISIS, GENISIS and WEBLIS • Statistics for effective library and information service management

  6. The least interesting academic component of the programme • Bibliographic description for books

  7. Recommendations for management in my home University • To fully use free software in information management (WINISIS, GENISIS and WEBLIS) • Continuous training of staff in technological information management
