1. 5 Principals that insure an unshakable life. • ((vs. 13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.)
A. An unshakable life begins with coming to Jesus ( • (Vs. 46 Everyone who comes to Me .)
Luke 9:24–26“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it. 25 “For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself? 26 “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

C. An unshakable life is characterized by obedience to the Word of God ( • (Vs. 46 “Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them .)
D. The unshakable life is found when a person learns to dig deep into the truth of the GOSPEL • (Vs. 47b-48 I will show you whom he is like: 48 he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; .)
Philippians 3:8–14 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, 10that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; 11 in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do:forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
E. The unshakable life is a life that is built on the foundation of solid ROCK • (Vs. 48 he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock;)
Matthew 16:18 I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
Ephesians 2:19–22 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 3:11 For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Luke 9:23–26 And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. 24 “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it. 25 “For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself? 26 “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.
2. The storm is coming • (Vs 48b and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. )
3. Many live life with NO foundation and will experience immediate unexpected ruin • (Vs. 49 “But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.”)
