  5. Cici the cat starved and died.  Nedo got married Marina came back to Sarajevo Zlata and her family were very sad.  Zlata and her mom were sad because they didn’t get to go to the wedding. Zlata was happy that one of her friends was where she was. Cause & Effect

  6. Roxanne’s Emotional Response Zlata’s diary was a great book I would read it again. Zlata is just a normal 11 year old girl until the war comes it changes her whole world around, her friends are leaving, people are getting killed. She can’t even go outside unless she wants to take the chance of getting shot at she wants the war over , gone, done with. She wants a normal childhood. The war makes them go through with out water, electricity, and gas and they also had limited food supplies. Zlata’s Diary made me more thankful for what I have and that there isn’t a war going on here. I have the privilege to go to school unlike her. I would recommend. Zlata’s Diary to anyone who likes nonfiction books or anyone who likes books that are like a diary.

  7. Dawson’s Emotional Response I would be scared of the gun shots and hide behindsomething or hide somewhere. I also would be sad because you don’t know if a family member could have been shot. I would also be hopeful because I would wish for my mom to be ok.

  8. Manuel’s Emotional Response If I were Zlata I would be going crazy right now because I would wake up to gun shots.
