1. School Dismissal Traffic Delivery/Meeting/Emergency Traffic NC 581 Gate 1 Gate 2 Gate 3 Staff Parking Wait Line Parking Lot Gate 4 Opened Prior to Dismissal STOP Office Gate 4

2. Southern Nash Middle School New Traffic Plan • Purpose- To address safety issues raised by concerned parents and family members • Process- Traffic plan monitored and re-designed by Central Office staff • Outcome- Modification of traffic flow in front of SNMS during regular school hours • Procedures-(see map on reverse side for gate locations) • Morning drop off procedures to remain unchanged- All traffic enters at Gate-1 and exits at Gate-3 • Early morning- Gate-4 Will be closed and Gate-2 will be opened. All regular business traffic, meetings, drop-offs, and emergency traffic will enter at Gate 2 and circle around to the front of the Campus and exit at Gate-3 • School Dismissal- All car traffic arriving at school early to pick up at the regular dismissal time should enter campus at Gate-1 and come to a stop at Gate-4. This will leave access through Gate-2 for EMERGENCY TRAFFIC such as Ambulance, early check out, for appointments, etc… • Prior to dismissal Gate-4 will be opened and waiting traffic will advance to the traditional waiting line located near the front parking lot. • Effective Date- This change will be effective following our return from Spring Break, Monday, April 21.
