  4. Identify and Control the Variables • Control: 20 peanuts in the basket. • Variable: the peanut.

  5. Test your Hypothesis • First, I looked for a strait crack. • Then I will look for a dent.

  6. Collect your Data • Color: A wood color • Length (cm): 3.5cm • Width (mm):10mm • #of meats:2 • Blemishes: Long side, on right, backward D shape. • Others: Crack on long side; shallow hole, short side, non-piercing.
