2. Mining is the extraction of valuable minerals or other geological materials from the earth from an orebody, lode, vein, seam, or reef, which forms the mineralized package of economic interest to the miner.

3. 7. Carbon conveyor- amining device, comprising a cutting head with cutting wedge, the plow chain, conveyor drives, shifter assembly station along with the auxiliary power supply and the drive elements for moving, tensioning and anchoring of the conveyor. 8. Scraper conveyor - a sliding-type transport device, wherein attached to the chain (s) cross members, known as scrapers, move the output continuously in a specified location. Each scraper conveyor consists of the following basic units: the drive bays chain with scrapers and reflexive. The drive motor coupled to a gear train through a torque converter drives the star drive, which involves the conveyor chain with the dredged material. 9. Miners Day A traditional holiday mining, celebrated in Poland on December 4, the day of St. Barbara of Nicomedia, the patron of a good death and difficult work. In the tradition of mining Miners Day begins the morning ceremony in the church with the figure of St. Barbara. Then the miners band  marching playing. . On the occasion of this day are also organized concerts, artistic performances, games and balls, involving whole families mining. In the days preceding the feast organized beer taverns, involving miners and persons related with mining (pensioners, employees of companies cooperating with mines, mining researchers from the faculties of universities and those studying there). Beer taverns designed for surveillance mining are organized by the Association of Mining Engineers and Technicians. The counterpart of the inn beer are organized for women combry babskie.
