FROGS How a tadpole becomes a frog.
Thousands of jelly-covered eggs cling in the water. In about days the eggs hatch. The pond is now full of tiny, tiny tadpoles. They wiggle their tails and breathe underwater with gills, like fish. 10
Spring has sprung! • When spring comes the tadpoles awaken. They are hungry. So they eat and eat. Tiny hind legs begin to sprout. Their bodies grow longer and stronger while their tails become smaller.
