William Clark • He was born August 1, 1770 • His brother was George Rogers Clark • He joined the Kentucky militia when he was 19 • He got married to Julia Hancock on Jan. 5, 1808 • He died on Sept. 1, 1838 • In 2001, Bill Clinton posthumously made Clark a captain in the U.S. Army
