Volkswagen Focusing on Pushing more SUVs from the House by 2025 Volkswagen---the German carmaker has announced that it would be focusing extensively & aggressively on the SUV market which would be never before in its annals. It stated that by 2025 every 2nd passenger car from the house sold would likely be an SUV. This at present holds good to every 5th car vended currently. The German auto monster is anticipating a heavy increase in the SUV sales segment from India, the South, and North America in addition to China. It anticipates capturing 50% share in the said segment by the said period. Volkswagen to reach this landmark is planning to come out with over 30 SUV models across the globe by the stipulated year. With the unveiling of T-Cross, its new Polo-sized SUV in two variants (shorter version for the European market and bigger version for India, China & South & North Americas) the company is on high energy. India will probably see the T-Cross on its roads by 2020. Member of the sales board of management of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Jurgen Stackmann said: "SUVs are becoming increasingly popular with our customers throughout the world. This is why we are consistently pursuing our current SUV offensive. It will be a key contribution to strengthening our core business so that we can invest the necessary billions of euros in mobility and autonomous driving. The T-Cross rounds off our SUV family in the rapidly growing small SUV market.” Volkswagen with this new strategy looks like is trying to pave way for new marketing strategies and induct new technology of things like the Internet of things (IoT). The company has also got into a pact with Google in the area of quantum computers. Keeping up its tradition of innovation and tough security standards the company has launched Connect Editions for its Polo, Ameo, Vento, & Passat models.
