Participants • Complete a specified video portfolio entry using a classroom of PreK-12 students. • Submit the entry to NBPTS to be scored by April 15, 2013. • Can apply their scores within two years when they begin the whole process of National Board Certification. www.coe.ilstu.edu/ilnpbts

Could Be 5-Year NBPTS Process 1 Complete TAKE ONE. • August 2012-April 15, 2013 2 and 3 Complete Whole NBPTS Process. • May 2013-June 2014 or • May 2014-June 2015 • May 2015-June 2016 4 and 5 Achieve or Bank Scores and Retake. • Fall 2014 – Spring 2015 • Fall 2015-Spring 2016 • Fall 2016-Spring 2017 • Fall 2017-Spring 2018 www.coe.ilstu.edu/ilnpbts

What Do Participants Receive? • NBPTS Participant Handbook • A CD-ROM containing the standards • Portfolio entry instructions • Packing and shipping instructions • Bar code labels to be placed on materials • Envelopes for submitting the entry and forms  • The box used for the entry submission www.coe.ilstu.edu/ilnpbts

NBPTS Deadlines • Ordering deadline: December 31, 2012 • Entry submission deadline: April 15, 2013 • Withdrawal deadline: April 15, 2013 • Deferral deadline: April 15, 2013 • Withdrawal deadline with partial refund: 45 days from date on packing list • Scores available online: on or before December 31, 2013 www.coe.ilstu.edu/ilnpbts
