  2. Dead and Gone • To date there have been causalities among American and Iraqi troops. • 32,987 U.S. troops have been wounded since the war began in 2003. This is as of February 17th. • Since the war began there has been 4,439 U.S. troops that have died.

  3. More Losses Than We Think • Since the beginning of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan we have spent more than $1,250,000,000. • This is a staggering amount and the price continues to grow every second. • The Bush administration only estimated $50 to $60 the Iraq war would cost us.

More than just words on a piece of paper • Since the election of President Obama the troop levels in Iraq have steadily been dropping. • U.S. Troop Casualties - 4,439 US troops; 98% male. 91% non-officers; 82% active duty, 11% National Guard; 74% Caucasian, 9% African-American, 11% Latino. 19% killed by non-hostile causes. 54% of US casualties were under 25 years old. 72% were from the US Army • US Troops Wounded - 32,033. 20% of which are serious brain or spinal injuries. • US Troops with Serious Mental Health Problems - 30% of US troops develop serious mental health problems within 3 to 4 months of returning home.
