Christian Faith Assembly A PLACE WHERE EVERYBODY IS SOMEBODY!
Christian Faith Assembly • Dance Ministry Guidelines & Standards • “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit” -Aristotle • Along with change in leadership come some basic but necessary changes to ensure the forward progression and growth of the ministry. It is our desire and intent to train all team members regardless of their length in service to this area of ministry, and to develop leaders who are capable of leading and serving the needs of the members, directors and Pastors. • We are in pursuit of Excellence and with this goal in mind and in sight the following changes will be taking place effective immediately… • Rehearsal is a necessary part of who we are as artist and what we do as dancers, and will now be Mandatory for all who plan on continuing to participate within this ministry • The First and Last Rehearsal for any piece are critical and therefore cannot be missed. Timely and proper notification must be submitted ahead of time if one or both of these rehearsals are to be missed. • No Call No Show for any rehearsal or engagement Will Not be tolerated under any circumstances and will result in disciplinary action leading up to and including revocation of participation. • Consistent church attendance on a weekly basis is required for all ministry participants. Pastor and the Director require all participants to attend midweek prayer and bible study. Timely and proper notification must be given in advance if you are unable to attend. • The current age requirement for participation in the dance ministry will be removed along with all other age restrictions for each team. In its place will be a skill level assessment. The Director and her appointed leaders will assess each individual’s skill level for entrance into the dance ministry and those who desire to move to the next level.
Christian Faith Assembly • Dance Ministry Guidelines & Standards • Participation in the Fine Arts Ministry is a privilege and not a right and should be treated as such. All members will go through a continuous audition process to determine eligibility for participation in a particular selection or in the dance ministry as a whole. • Disrespect of any kind Will Not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action leading up to and including revocation of participation. • Training is of a necessity to stay current and up to date on the happenings and trends taking place within in the Arts Ministry, and to help foster the growth of the team. To that end, conference attendance and training session are Mandatory for all participants. Timely and proper notification must be given in advance if you are unable to attend. • Occasionally, homework is necessary to foster the growth of each team member individually and will be assigned at the discretion of the Director and appointed leaders. All assignments must be completed by the due date. Late assignment Will Not be accepted and will result in disciplinary action leading up to and including to revocation of participation. • “People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care.” • WE LOVE THE MINISTRY OF DANCE of CFA!!! • Love Dance Ministry Leaders
