  1. Gotodoctor Launches Your Care Accelerator with its Network Pharmacy Partners Gotodoctor.ca, the leading Canadian technology platform seamlessly accelerates care for its subscribed organizations and members, is excited to announce the launch of Your Care Accelerator, a first-of-its-kind digital personal healthcare assistant that help individual patients to navigate the healthcare system and solve wait-time and access challenges. According to the 2023 Canadian Medical Association survey, 1 in 5 Canadians did not have a family physician. Another 30% struggled to get an appointment even though they had a family physician. Furthermore, 2 in 5 who required medical care with a specialist, a diagnostic test, or surgery found it difficult or impossible to get the care they needed from the health care system. Gotodoctor.ca’s unique Health System Navigator service has been delivering expedited access to members of insurance partners and plan sponsors. This is a practical solution for the wait-time and access challenges within our public healthcare system. Instead of having members passively waiting for the care they or their family need, Gotodoctor.ca uses a combination of its in-house Care Access Technology and Service Engine with clinical, insurance and service provider data to identify faster access options to a wide range of care needs – from family physicians, specialist appointments to diagnostic imaging and testing’s. With internal access experts and a dedicated team to advocate for patients, the Health System Navigator service has shown the ability to reduce the wait- time by at least 50%.

  2. The Gotodoctor.ca platform brings together virtual and in-person service providers with its subscribed organizations and members on its digital network to create value for all of them. A network effect is also realized as it increases the number and capacity of providers and range of services for its members. Through its Real Care Delivery Network, Gotodoctor.ca has integrated ~300 CareBridge pharmacy service sites across Canada. These pharmacy service sites already have access to Gotodoctor.ca’s virtual physician care or physician practice management service. With the launch of the new portal, yourcareaccelerator.ca, Gotodoctor.ca can now offer its Health System Navigator service to an estimated a million patients each year that seek care through this network of pharmacies. “Our Health System Navigator is an industry changing service solution that has been helping our subscribed insurance and plan sponsor partners and their members to shorten wait-times to care,” said Tommy Cheung, CEO of Gotodoctor.ca. “We are thrilled to make this valuable service to our pharmacy partners across Canada so more patients can now benefit from it.”
