Competency Sift • Application marked • Pass - invite to assessment. Fail - wait 6 months before reapplying • SEARCH Assessment Centre • Attend assessment centre where you will be tested in role-plays, written tests and an interview. • Pass mark 50% invite to final interview • Fail - wait 6 months before reapplying
Final Interview • Undergo a 30 minute interview. Motivation and knowledge of the role • I.T. Test • Demonstrate you ability to use a PC. Score 25 words per minute typing speed with accuracy. • Fail IT Test, re-sit in 6 weeks
Fitness test • Score Dynamic Strength Push 34KG / Pull 35KG • Bleep Test Level 5 (5/4) • Fail – re test in 6 weeks • 2 retests only • Pass – invite to medical
Medical Assessment • Pass – proceed to drug screening • Disability • Drug Screening • Random drug screening occurs throughout service. Test is for illegal drug use. • Pass – proceed to finance checks • Fail – application rejected
Financial checks • Provide full information on application form • Student loans are disregarded • Clear finance checks proceed to vetting • Fail – application rejected • Vetting • Provide adequate information on the application form • Pass- proceed to reference checks • Fail – application rejected
