Singular & Plural Nouns Singular Nouns Plural Nouns • Singular nouns name one person, place, thing, or idea. • Plural nouns name two or more people, places, things, or ideas.
Possessive Nouns • Possessive nouns shows ownership of the person, place thing, or idea. • Rule 1 : for a singular (one) noun add an apostrophe and an S = ‘S. • Rule 2 : for a plural (2 or more) noun that ends in an S, only add apostrophe after the plural noun. • Rule 3 : for a plural (2 or more) noun that does not end in S, add an apostrophe and S.
