Sensory Imagery • “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” by the Beatles is a good example of a song with plenty of imagery.
Hyperbole • The Beatles song “Eight days a week” has a hyperbole in it’s title along, claiming there is eight days a week.
Personification • In the Beatles Song “Lady Madona” the line “Friday Night arrives without a suitcase” is a personification of Friday Night.
Onamonapia • In the Beatles song “Drive my Car” the line “Beep Beep Beep Beep yeah is an example of Onamonapia.
Simile • In the Beatle’s song Hard Day’s Night one of the lines is “Working like a Dog” which is a comparison to a dog using the word “like”.
Metaphor • The Beatles song “Dear Prudence” has a metaphor in the line “The clouds will be a daisy chain” comparing the clouds to a daisy chain.
