Flash floods and landslides triggered by heavy rains have killed at least 30 people in India's remote northeast.
Ten thousand villagers were cut off by the heavy road damage near the town of Chungthan in the mountainous region
Military helicopters have been dropping food supplies and helping rescue stranded villagers in the worst-hit parts of Assam.
A "maximum health alert" has been declared in the affected areas to prevent outbreaks of diseases like diarrhea and typhoid.
Doctors and paramedics were sent to 166 relief camps where victims of the flooding were taking shelter from the flooding.
