KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS (2011 – 2014) Streamlining Business Registration Processes Improving Investment Planning & Promotion in Target Cities Addressing Cross-Cutting Concerns • Compliance of Partner Cities to the standards set in the DTI-DILG JMC 1 re streamlining of Business Permit and Licensing System • Establishment of an efficient BOSS in partner cities • Review and amendment of the DTI-DILG JMC 1 • Online business permit application (Batangas City and Iloilo City), kiosk for tax payments (CDO), mobile money (Batangas City) • Review of permitting and licensing systems for building construction and occupancy, tourism, and fire safety and sanitary inspection • Review of the Philippine Business Registry and its connectivity to CDI cities • Establishment of Local Economic and Investment Promotion Center (LEIPC), designation of LEIP Officer • Produced a template for the Local Investment Incentives Code Formulation for DILG • Review/Updating of the Local Investment Incentives Code (LIIC) of Partner Cities • Conceptualization/Action Planning for the establishment of Investment Promotion Center (Virtual and physical) • Conduct of City Business Forums for Batangas City, Iloilo City, and Cagayan de Oro City • Establishment of Metro Batangas Business Council • Assistance to Partner National Government Agencies • NCC: a) formulation of the national competitiveness framework, b) conduct of competitiveness ranking, c) establishment of RCCs, d) conduct of LCDC • DILG: a) revision of the guide for the formulation and updating of LIIC; assistance in ICT innovations forum • DTI: a) assessment of the PBR; b) assistance to inter-agency relevant and related committees; and c) signing of MOA between DTI and partner cities for connectivity to PBR • DOST: assistance in the conduct of e-readiness survey
