Superkids • Superkidsis a comprehensive core reading program (handwriting, spelling, reading, phonics, expressive writing). • Skills are built sequentially and cumulatively. • Superkids Online is a GREAT resource for home. • Superkids Online
everydaymath • a problem-solving approach based on everyday situations • an instructional approach that revisits concepts regularly • frequent practice of basic skills, often through games • EverydayMath Online

Specials • Specials are split into four groups • Group A: Awesome Apples • Group B: Banana Bear • Group C: Crazy Cool Creative Critters • Group D: Doughnut Dragons
Management • green light, yellow light, red light • All students will start each day on a green light. • Stop-and-Thinks will be given to students on a red light. • They are to be signed are returned to school the following day.
Homework • Homework will be given daily. • Please Check the Homework sheet every Monday. • Return to school the next day. • Math • Spelling
Transportation • If your child is taking a DIFFERENT way home then they usually do, a note needs to be sent in to the teacher. If there is no note we have to send them home the way they normally go!
Map • MAP testing is a standardized test that the students will take 3 times a year on the computer. • Reading and Mathematics. • The results are numbers that let us know where they fall within their grade level expectations. • MAP results will be sent home.
Birthdays • If you would like to send in a treat to share with the class, please check to make sure there are no food allergies in the class. • If sending in party invitations they must go to ALL students • If you are only inviting a few students, please contact those studentsoutside of school.
Awards Assembly • Awards assemblies are held each marking period. • Perfect Attendance • 2. STAR Award (1 student per month) • 3. Bulldog Award (3 students per marking period)
