  1. About Veloxum Veloxum ACO solution improves the efficiency and capacity of your environment for both physical and virtual systems. Veloxum creates specific recommendations to eliminate efficiency and capacity restrictions caused by improper and non-optimal settings. Veloxum immediately reduces expense account and capital expenditures by allowing you to better utilize the systems and resources you already have.

Improve Efficiency Operations & Capacity • Decreases overall CPU utilization • Less CPU = Less Power Consumed + Less Heat Generation • CPU utilization reductions of up to 50% • Works with multiple generations of hardware and software • (does not require new equipment) • Increases system performance • Applications are more responsive • Dramatically improved network and disk throughput • Less systems are needed to perform the same work • Does not require administrators to replace existing systems • Validated improvements for: • Microsoft - Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server • VMware – ESX 3.5/4.x and vSphere 4 • Support for Windows, Linux, AIX, OSX and Solaris

Current Status (02/08/11) • Installed appliance and clients with little or no required assistance by Veloxum. • Total of 120+ servers/workstations optimized. • Deployed Veloxum agents on workstations/servers have posed no performance issues. • Appliance has been executed on downrev/spare equipment with no issues. • Local IT staff have been trained and understand the tools.

  5. Questions • How are systems licensed? • Each ESX host requires a license. • Each Guest OS requires a license. • No extra license for monitoring vs optimization • What happens if a license expires? • Optimizations remain unchanged. • Active monitoring/optimizations are suspended.

Questions (continued) • Are uninstalls clean? • No hooks or components are left behind. • Uninstalls executed on the guest will not rescind optimizations. • Uninstalls may also be performed from the Veloxum GUI in order to… • Remove Veloxum software andoptimizations from a guest OR • Discontinue further optimizations on a guest, leaving past optimizations in place

Questions (continued) • Can clients run within different VLANs? • YES! • All clients communicate with the appliance via outgoing connections from the guest OS. • Clients are able to operate via web proxies. • Clients may communicate using any configurable/available port, like 443 (SSL). • Appliances may be configured to use multiple, bridged virtual network adapters which span multiple VLANs. • Appliances may be cloned to operate in different VLANs.

  8. Questions (continued) • Are Veloxum customers willing to act as references? • YES! • BOCES has already met with Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. • Another large, multi-homed user of VMware & Citrix on servers will be made available.
