  1. “Putting children who need love and care into families who crave the love a child is one of the great unfinished endeavors of the world.” Scott Simon, Host of Weekend Edition Saturday on NPR 1

  2. The Need is Large and Present 153 million children worldwide, including 350 thousand in the U.S. are waiting for a family to adopt them right now. America is the most adoptive nation: 25% of all Americans have seriously considered adoption, less than 2% adopt a child, citing the high cost of completing an adoption as a primary barrier. Given world-wide there are just 250,000* adoptions a year, the probability of being adopted is1½ %. 2 * 85% of all adoptions worldwide are undertaken within home country; with half completed by Americans

  3. Introduction Un-adopted Children Suffer The Impact of Action Un-adopted U.S. children are significantly more likely to experience poor life outcomes at alarming and predictable levels. (Casey Family Foundation) Overseas, un-adopted children are at much greater risk of being forced into participation in violence and armed conflict and sex-trafficking. (UNICEF)

  4. Gift of Adoption Grants awarded to qualified U.S. parents without discrimination & 100% of your donation goes to adoptions $5.1 M in grant awards to unite 1750 children with families 45% domestic / 55% international Volunteer-driven charity that raises $ to complete the adoptions of at-risk children

  7. A New Philanthropic Priority There is simply no other charitable initiative which has such a great impact for such a small investment. You don’t need to adopt to give a child a family. Gift of Adoption grants are a win-win on a humanitarian and economic level. . 7

  8. Priority on Most Vulnerable • We reach children facing what is likely their only or last chance at having a family. Grant Priority is on helping • Siblings • Older Children • Kids at-risk of entering foster care • Children with Serious Medical Conditions 8

  9. The Impact of Action Moving parentless children into loving families permanently improves their prospects for the future. It is an upstream investment in the life of a child that significantly reduces tomorrow’s need for a wide spectrum of social services and government assistance.

  10. The Impact of Your Generosity OH MAN! This is our son Sage! We are so beyond honored and blessed to have been awarded a grant from Gift of Adoption!! We don't have the right words to express our thanks! For every 1 grant we award – we turn 2 away. If you believe adoption is a basic right for children everywhere – join us in giving these waiting children a loving family. 10
