Times Tables Rockstars… • Designed to help children learn and practice their times tables, with a focus on speed of recall. • 3 weekly practices in school on paper • Login online and play at home • Create your own avatar and buy accessories with coins earnt • Weekly certificates in collective worship • Inter school competitions

  8. Spellings… • 5 x spellings each week • Children practice in handwriting homework book • Spelling lessons and practice in school • Test is usually on a Thursday • At the end of each half term the children do a Secret 5 spelling test- they receive a housepoint for each spelling they get correct

Homework… • Alternating Maths homework • Alternating English homework • Weekly spellings/handwriting • Weekly times tables to learn • Every time your child has 20x reads recorded in their • home-school diary, they earn a housepoint • Home-school diaries • N.B Details of homework will be uploaded on to the year group website page each week.
