JAEA developed a numerical simulation framework. The framework features two strategies, the “from parts to the whole” and hierarchical seismic simulation. We successfully applied our framework to the simulation of seismic responses of the major components of a nuclear power plant, involving 281 million meshes and 2.3 TB of result data.
