2. Aim To determine which sibling gets the most expensive phone. To determine who gets their first phone younger. To determine who received the most credit per month.

3. Our Survey • Question 1: How old were you when you received your first phone? • Question 2: When you received your first phone were you youngest, middle, oldest in your family or an only child? • Question 3: How much credit was put onto your phone monthly? • Question 4: How expensive was your phone?

4. Hypothesis • The youngest children and only children will receive better phones at a younger age. We think this from experience as we are both the oldest child in our family. • Older and only children will be the group that received the most credit per month. This is because the oldest child is likely to use more credit than the younger siblings. Onlychildren have no other siblings that need money for the credit so therefore their parents have more money to spend for their credit.

5. Method • 44 year 9 students were interviewed, 11 from each group of siblings (only child, oldest child, middle child, youngest child). • We collected our data, graphed and interpreted the information..

8. Conclusion • Older children receive more credit per month. Only, youngest, and middle children all receive about the same amount of credit. • Only children are more likely to receive their first phone at a younger age. • In families with more than one child, the youngest child had the most expensive phone. • Against our hypothesis, only children received the cheapest phone. IMPROVEMENTS • We could have made our results more accurate by asking a bigger group of people, 44 year 9 students is not enough to give us accurate results.
