  4. B. Germanic Kingdoms Emerge • 1. The Concept of Government Changes • Germanic people lived in small communities • Germanic warriors followed leaders they respected but not a king they didn’t know

  6. C. Germanic Peoples Adopt Christianity • Frankish rulers and missionaries helped spread Christianity throughout western Europe • 1. Monasteries and Convents • Monks and Nuns devoted their lives to prayer and good works
