Arrange meeting places, make research accessible • Started operations in 1994 as Swedish Foundation for Small Business Research • Financed by Vinnova, Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, and a number of public and private research financers • 40 conferences/seminars annually in Sweden and abroad • Reports, anthologies, short summaries, documentations, newsletters

Brings together researchers in networks and programmes • Initiate, conduct and communicate research • Four research programmes since 2009: • - Entrepreneurship and SMEs in the globalized economy • - Entrepreneurship and SMEs in the knowledge driven growth economy • - Entrepreneurship, SMEs, technology shifts and deregulation • Entrepreneurship in SMEs and in the growing service sectors • Altogether 178 researchers in the network in 2009

  4. International networking – make Sweden visible internationally Global Award for Entrepreneurship Research, annual research prize since 1996. Prize sum of €100 000.In cooperation with the Research Institute of Industrial Economics and the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth International Council, mainly the Awardees of the Global Award plus some additional experts and representatives from the EU-Commission, meets twice a year Arranging the ICSB, International Congress for Small Business conference 2011 in Stockholm
