  4. CA: Organisational Structure Article 4.1.1: Management Board The EMB will be chaired by the Co-ordinator (Met Office), and is the Consortium’s decision making and arbitration body. The EMB is composed of all RT Co-ordinators (2 per RT). An EC nominated representative (normally the Project Officer) and the joint Co-ordinator of PRISM are entitled to attend EMB meetings as advisors.

CA: Pre-Existing Know-How Article 4.2.2 and 9.3 The Co-ordinator maintains, publicises and updates a register of PEKH which individual contractors will make available to other contractors during the project. Current register: Bristol University (Partner 9) MPI Hamburg (Partner 10) Oxford University (Partner 70)

  6. CA: Intellectual property Rights Article 9 1. Each contractor is required to give due credit to the ENSEMBLES project. 2. The purpose of the project is to create a body of knowledge. Key EC regulations: Open dissemination of non-commercially exploitable information whilst safeguarding IPR. Protection of knowledge where it is capable of industrial or commercial exploitation.

  7. CA: Audit Costs Article 5.3 IP’s are required to provide annual audit certificates for all partners funded during that 12 month period. (If no EC funding during a 12 month period then there is no requirement to provide a certificate.) All Contractors have mutually agreed that: “Annual audit certification costs shall be borne by each contractor, and will not qualify against the limit of expenditure which can be recovered as a management expense within the EC grant.”

CA and Core Contract Article 14 of the EC Core Contract: The following Annexes form an integral part of the Contract: Annex I: DoW Annex II: EC General Conditions Annex III: EC specific provisions related to IP’s EC retention of `ultimate’ authority: The provisions of Annex III shall take precedence over the provisions of Annex II, and both shall take precedence over the provisions of Annex I (including the Consortium Agreement )
