  2. The Task • You have been invited to join a secret society • This secret society is called the Pythagorean Brotherhood • After completing research you will write an essay stating whether or not you accept the invitation

The Process • You will work in groups of four • Each person in your group must select something to become an “expert” in • Complete the guide questions for your area • Teach the rest of your group about your area of expertise • Write an essay accepting or declining the invitation (must go through the writing center)

  5. Initiation • You will now become an expert on the initiation into this secret society • Use the resources listed to answer the guide questions • Remember you must report back to your group with all of your new knowledge

  17. Conclusion • In your groups discuss the information you have learned. • Each of you must decide whether or not you would like to accept the invitation to join the Pythagorean Brotherhood. • You must support your decision with the information your group has gathered to receive credit
