RICH AND POOR PEOPLE : • IN A VICTORIAN TOWN,IT WAS EASY TO TELL WHO CAME FROM A POOR FAMILY AND A RICH FAMILY ,BECAUSE CHILDREN FROM RICH HOMES HAD WARM CLOTHES ,HAD SHOES ON THEIR FEET AND WERE FED WELL.
WHAT JOBS DID CHILDREN DO? • CHILDREN WORKED ON FARMS ,IN HOMES AS SERVENTS AND IN FACTORIES. BOYS WENT TO SEA ,AS BOY SAILORS AND GIRLS WENT TO SERVICES AS HOUSEMAIDS .CHILDREN WORKED ON CITY STREETS SELLING FLOWERS ,MATCHES AND RIBBONS.
WHAT JOBS DID CHILDREN DO? • CROSSING BOYS HAD TO SWEEP THE ROADS AND CLEAN THE HORSE DUNG AND RUBBISH LEFT BY THE HORSES THAT PULLED CARTS AND CARRIGES
WHY DID CHILDREN GO TO WORK? • MANY CHILDREN WORKED ,BECAUSE THEIR FAMILIES WERE POOR SO TO HELP THEIR FAMILIES ,THE VICTORIAN CHILDREN WORKED.
WHY DID CHILDREN GO TO WORK? • VICTORIAN FAMILIES GOT NO MONEY UNLESS THEY WORKED AND MOST PEOPLE THOUGHT WORK WAS GOOD FOR CHILDREN.
