Luke chapter 19 verses 28 - 44 • On the Mount of Olives, King David wept as he fled from Jerusalem and his son Absalom. (2 Samuel 15:30) • According to the prophet Zechariah, the Lord would return and appear on the Mount of Olives. (Zechariah 14:4) • It is here that the “triumphal entry” was staged. During His last week, Jesus spent some nights on the Mount of Olives. (Luke 21:37) • It is from the Mount of Olives that the Lord ascended to Heaven. (Acts 1:12)

Luke chapter 19 verses 28 - 44 • Some were Jesus disciples who were proclaiming him as their Messiah • Some went along with the crowd until they realised Jesus was not who they expected • Some were uncommitted. They weren’t even sure who Jesus was • Some were undoubtedly Roman soldiers, watching for any sign of rebellion against Rome • Some were the teachers of the law, who tried to silence the voices of praise
Luke chapter 19 verses 28 - 44 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
