We want to increase the number of women in male-dominated occupations through normalization.
Our network is a continuation of the company development project "Girls who work with cars and electrics". A project with intentions of improving companies' attitude towards females in those occupations.
The network now consists of girls who work in occupations from advanced courses as: -Technical and industrial production (TiP) -Building and construction (BC) -Electrical work (EL)
Why build a network? (Benefits from networking) It’s social The girls have many things in common We share experiences You can use technical terms with other girls and they understand what you mean.
What we do: We want more girls to choose non-traditional, and therefore we visit secondary schools and tell the students about our everyday work. We also participate in advisor meetings, forums and workshops. We have gathered students in TIP, BC and EL twice last winter for social networking.
This is one of the most important charts we show to the students and parents. It shows opportunities and all the possibilities the students have after certification
Gender does not determine which personality we have or how good we are.
If you want to, just do it - gender should not decide what career you choose!
