RMA Chapters • There are 109 chapters in North America. • There are 3 international chapters. • Chapters provide the direct link to RMA members. • Each chapter is governed by a volunteer board. That’s you! • Chapters are supported by four regional managers and the director of Member Relations – Chapters & Community Banks.

Educational Programming • RMA chapters play a vital role in delivering educational programs to members. The educational classes are anywhere from one day to a full week and are known as open enrollment (OE) courses. • These programs, developed by RMA HQ, are delivered locally via the chapters with an RMA instructor. The chapters choose their course offerings twice a year using the Tick Tock form.
RMA Credit Risk Certification (CRC) • Only risk-based certification available today. • Comprehensive exam assessing credit skills. • Three- five years of credit experience to be eligible. • Two testing windows: • March through April. • October through November. • Successful examinees achieve: • CRC designation. • Requires 45 CEUs every three years to maintain credential.
RMA Membership • Open to financial institutions including commercial banks, savings banks, investment banks, and insurance companies. • Membership is at both the bank and individual level. • Professional, Student, and Academic membership is also available.

The STAR Report: A Planning Document (cont.) • The RMA fiscal year is September 1 to August 31. • Minimum point levels are required for each chapter award level. • Chapter awards are announced at RMA’s Annual Conference each October. • Each chapter should hold a planning meeting before August each year.
