Turtle Quest • True 1st year Camper Program . • Runs half days (Monday – Friday) gives opportunity for afternoon merit badges . • Participants practice patrol and troop methods. • Basic 1st aid, totin’ chip, map & compass, knots, hiking, pioneering, LNT, Firem’n Chit, and Fire building. • Earning Advancement. • All learning objectives are met through interactive games and challenges. • Thursday evening overnight!

THE FIRST DAY… • 11 am Check in at Camp office with Rosters and head to your site! • 11 am – 4 pm Campsite Setup and Camp Orientation • 1pm Orientation Begins • Health Checks (Health Forms, Dietary Restrictions, Medications) • Swim Checks (pre-camp swim checks available) • Shooting Sports Safety Review • Dining Hall/Trading Post Orientation • Tour Program Areas • 7 pm Leader Meeting
HEALTH FORM • In compliance with National BSA Boy Scout Resident Camp Standards, NO person can be allowed to participate in the camp program or stay on BSA property without a complete health history. • Everyone attending CCLT (Scouts and adults) must turn in a health history before participating in any camp activities. • The Annual Health and Medical Record is valid for 12 months and Parts A, B and C must be completed for all Scouts and Leaders attending camp. • UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL A MEDICAL FORM BE ACCEPTED BY THE CAMP PERSONNEL WITHOUT THE SIGNATURE OF A LICENSED PRACTITIONER (MD, DO, Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant). • “Returning!” … In order to speed up the medication disbursement, units will each be given a lockable medication box for their campsite. Unit leaders will be able to assist Scouts with their non-perishable medication right in the campsite!
TWO-WEEK PRIOR MEETING • The purpose of this meeting is to turn in merit badge signups, health forms, dietary restrictions and talent releases, swim check forms. • Troops will also be able to ask last minute questions before their unit arrives. MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE COUNCIL SERVICE CENTER IN FORT WAYNE. • SESSION 1-BOY SCOUT CAMP Monday, June 2, 6:30 PM • SESSION 2-BOY SCOUT CAMP Monday, June 9, 6:30 PM • SESSION 3-BOY SCOUT CAMP Monday, June 16, 6:30 PM • SESSION 4-BOY SCOUT CAMP Monday, June 23, 6:30 PM • SESSION 5-BOY SCOUT CAMP Monday, June 30, 6:30 PM
PROGRAM FEES • Shotgun $20.00 • COPE $20.00 • Paintball $5.00 • Top Scout $25.00 • Handicraft MB – variable fees
REGISTRATION/PAYMENTS • Early Bird Deposit of $50 per scout by Feb 3rd AND Early Bird fee of $260 per scout paid by May 5th • Newly Registered Boy Scouts and Webelos Crossovers $260 if paid in full by May 1st • Webelos graduates and new scouts may pay in full by may 5that no penalty • Boy Scout Leader Fees: Full Time $95. Part Time $20 per day or $7/meal. Fees due by May 5th

All Scouts who have submitted the $50 per Scout deposit by Feb 3rdwill receive a FREE camp hat Additional hats may be purchased or troop information may be embroidered onto the hats for an additional fee.
MERIT BADGES & SCHEDULE • Few changes for 2013 • Usage of “Blue Card” system – no need to bring’em– we provide’em! • Merit Badge Schedules Provided • Daily MB reports to review progression • Age-Appropriate Classes using Visual/Audio/Sensory Aids
PLEASE REMEMBER… • SUMMER CAMP HAS ROOM FOR MERIT BADGES AND NON MERIT BADGE PROGRAMS. • SCOUTS SHOULD COME TO CAMP PREPARED, SOME BADGES HAVE PREREQUSITS. • ENCOURAGE SCOUTS OF ALL THE OPPORTUNITIES WE CAN PROVIDE THEM.
FAMILY NIGHT *FRIDAY evening… *Camp will provide a Camp wide Picnic complete with games and activities for Scouts and Guests *A count of guests will be needed at your two-week meeting. Guests will need to purchase meal tickets at the Camp Office - $7.00 per meal

2015 Camping Registration • Will open the 2015 campsite registrations onMay 1st of 2014. • First deposits in the door will hold your favorite site on your favorite week. • After that day reservations will be accepted online or over the phone.

2014 Workership Program • Workerships can be awarded for up to 50% of early bird camp fee • Awarded on “honor system” • Designed to allow those who can’t afford to come to camp - No proof of income is required • Identify a “good turn” work project • Projects should involve a significant number of hours and effort on the scout’s part • Workership applications are due April 1 • We want everyone to have the opportunity to come to camp!

Tree Harvest • A Timber Harvest has been conducted at Little Turtle for property maintenance, safety preservation, healthy growth & camp income. • As the Forest settles we would like all participants to be aware of tree tops and debris on the ground which can be hazardous around campsites, program areas, and trails if climbed or played on. • Help us keep our scouts safe.
