  3. Tip: Tell kids about the randomizer first. I have had many a sad student hit it by accident and wipe away all their hard work!

  4. Tip: Set a time limit for Voki design. Students can spend HOURS playing with the design functions!

  5. Tip: Make sure kids know to save when they type or record text!

  6. Tip: Remind students that they can sign up for an account at home if they like!

  7. Tip: I always have my students use their first and last name as the subject!

  9. Tip: You can create a bank of good pictures to use for your students, or let them find/save their own!

  12. Tip: The larger the pink area, the more “mouth” there will be to move! Tip: The large green button tells how big the mouth will open!

  17. Tip: I have my students copy and paste the URL into a MS Worddocument to turn in.

  18. Finally, let’s talk about Wordle* www.wordle.net *Don’t forget about Wordle Advanced!!

  19. Tip: I have my students copy and paste from a MS Word document. That way, if they mess up they don’t have to retype the whole thing!

  21. Language Tip: You can use this as a revision tool. Works especially well if you include common English words. Kids see quickly if words like “then” or “so” are their most-used.

  22. Font Warning!: There is a font called Sexsmith. It is actually a nice font…

  23. Color Tip: You can create a custom color palette.

  24. Wordle Advanced is a great tool for things like “I Am” poems and as brainstorming for narrative writing.

  26. But, how do I print a copy of myWordle? First, do a screen shot/print screen of your computer (usually a function/alt key + print screen)

  27. Next, paste the print screen in a photo editing application (Paint, Fireworks, Photoshop, etc..) Edit out the excess…
