Big Delay ! • There is a big delay – 1 year • Cause: • Additional quality control of data was required • Very little participation from the community • Lately things have warmed up (last 2 months) • Several groups have submitted results of step 1 • Several groups have contacted us indicating they are currently working on the experiment • A new timeline has been proposed • Submitted for approval to the GLASS meeting in Japan • If no additional participation will go ahead with the 9 models already working.
Submitted so far – STEP 1 only • SPONSOR – Institute of Geography, Russian Academy • SWAP – Institute of Water Problems, Russian Academy • SEWAB – GKSS Research Center, Germany • CBM – CSIRO, Australia Soon to be submitted • MOSAIC - NASA Goddard, USA • SSib – COLA, USA • VIC – U of Arizona, USA • BATS – UCLA, USA • Sib2 – USU, USA
Other Modeling Groups • Additional groups that have expressed interest: • Noah – NOAA USA • ORCHIDEE – France • MOSES – Met Office UK • SSib – UCLA USA • CLASS - Canada
