Objective • The goal of this project is to analyze and record the headway and arrival times of students entering Civil 1144 • With this data we plan to the analyze the performance and patterns of student arrivals • This data will hopefully give professors and scheduling a better idea of student arrival times
Site Location CIVL 1144 School of Civil Engineering 550 Stadium Mall Drive West Lafayette, IN 47907 Capacity: 100 people
Data Collection • Data was collected October 28th, 30thand November 2nd • From 1:15PM to 4:35PM • Data was collected prior to classes being released and several minutes after • Headways, arrival times, and queues prior to class and were recorded • Stopwatches were used to collect data

Interpretation of Results • The majority of the time headways were below five seconds • Roughly 20% of the class was in queue outside of the room • There is a influx of arrivals: • once the class empties (approx 20 min after the hour) • and then again five minutes prior to class starting (approx 25 minutes after the hour)
