  8. How should you enter mrs.Loftin’s class???

  9. Check for papers on front table, check front board for supplies to have out and add any important info to agenda.

  10. What should you do when you sit down???

  11. Begin Science Starter  will be collected every 2 weeks for a daily grade!

  12. What supplies do I need for class???

  13. - Composition notebook- pen/pencil/grading pen- Scissors- glue-markers/crayons/colored pencils

  14. Oh no! my pencil broke…what should I do???

  15. Sharpener is located by Mrs. Loftin’s desk. Take care of business when needed.

  16. Oh no! I don’t have anything to write with!

  17. Borrow from a friend. I have a few extra’s but when they are gone…they are gone! Frequent forgetters will get a phone call home for not being prepared for class.

  18. I need to go to the bathroom…Can I go???

  19. Try to take care of this between classes. If I am not teaching…you can ask me to go.

  20. I wasn’t here yesterday…did I miss anything??

  21. Check your folder in your class bin. Most importantly…tell me you were absent!!! I have 150 students and it is your responsibility to remind me!

  22. Where can I put all of my graded papers, notebook, etc???

  23. You can keep it in your folder in the class bin or in your notebook. Your choice.

  24. Last night when I tried to do my homework/study for the test…I got confused. How can I get help?

  27. Mrs. Loftin’s class Expectations • 1) Be on time! • 2) Do your science starter right away • 3) Be prepared for class • 4) You do not have to be friends with everyone in your class…but you MUST be kind and respectful to EVERYONE!

What happens when I mess up??? • 1) We are going to chat about how you need to meet my expectations • 2) Your parents and I are going to have a chat about how you need to meet my expectations and I’m going to make class way less fun for you • 3) You are going to have a chat with an AP about how you are not meeting classroom expectations and they will do whatever they want. When you take care of buisness…you have fun in my class. When you don’t’ take care of buisness…you won’t like this class.

  29. Find your partner… • 1) Introduce yourself • 2) compare schedules. Do you have any other class together? Ask your partner if you have any questions about where something is located at UMS. • Each partner will have 2 minutes to tell the other person about themselves. You HAVE to talk the full 2 minutes!!!
