About Mountain Lions Mountain lions can be called Cougars, Pumas, Panthers, or Mountain cats. They are currently moving towards us, there has been some spotted around Iowa.
Size • They are 2-2.3 feet tall at their shoulders. They are3.5-5.5 feet long, and their tail is 2-2.5 feet long. They weigh 110-180 pounds for males, females are a little bit smaller.
Diet • Mountain lions eat big animals like deer, and also small mammals like mice , squirrels, porcupines, raccoons, rabbits, and beavers.
1. Their population is about 30,000 of them in the western U.S.
