  21. Top Cover Removal Slide Cover Back to release locks Remove 2 screws NOTE – Front panel Uses same locking system

  22. Control Panel Removal 5 screws 4 screws Release the wiring harness Push locking tabs down across top while pulling out at bottom

  23. CONTROL PANEL DISSASSEMBLY Remove screws and clips Access to Touch Pad Assembly Remove wire harness

  24. Door Lock Removal Remove top cover Remove wiring then remove switch Open door and remove 3 screws EMERGENCY PROCEDURE ! ! !If door latch is jammed:! ! ! Remove top cover Pull down on tab Pull door open See ERROR CODES Section for testing

  25. Water inlet valves Control Board and Water Level Switch Wires MUST be on proper solinoid for proper operation Connectors are color coded See ERROR CODES Section for troubleshooting

  26. Drain pump Drain water using waste water pipe Remove screws and push drain pipe through cover

  27. Drain pump Remove Screws from bottom panel Remove screws behind filter cover Then tilt unit back ! ! ! Bottom Cover Removed ! ! ! Disconnect wiring and plumbing

  28. Dispenser – Water Inlet . Disconnect hoses Mark if necessary for proper replacement Remove dispenser tray and mounting screws

  29. Door Glass, Hinge and Latch remove rubber covers and screws Remove outer cover Note alignment groove Open door and remove hinge screws

  30. Door Boot / Seal Rear of seal is held in place with screw type clamp ring With retainer ring removed fold gasket inward to remove Spring loaded retainer ring S-hooks at each end of spring

  31. Door Boot / Seal ! ! ! CRITICAL INSTALLATION INFORMATION ! ! ! Drain Holes must be at the bottom Arrow and Notch shouldbe in alignment (arrow is behind counterweight)

  32. Shock Absorbers Front Shock Absorbers Remove the control panel and door boot as shown earlier. release the screws on the front corner. Remove screws from top of front panel (2) and pump housing Lift top up and off of retaining clips

  33. Shock Absorbers Use pliers to hold the raised end, then push the pin toward the back When replacing the pins put a small amount of grease on the pin to prevent noise Remove Replace pins pushing in from the back

  34. Belt Replacement ! ! ! NOTICE ! ! ! PINCH HAZARD There is no adjustment for the belt. A loose or worn belt must be replaced. Do not fold, kink or sharply bend this belt. --To remove the belt-- ‘Roll’ the upper pulley while pulling the belt towards you. --To install-- Place the belt under the motor pulley then ‘roll’ the upper pulley and pull the belt into place.

  35. Motor Replacement Motor is easily accessed through back panel Remove belt then wiring harness and 2 screws. Motor will pull forward off of rear bushings Bolts Wiring Harness

  36. Heater Replacement Drum DOES NOT have to be split to replace heater To remove the heater assembly: Loosen but DO NOT remove the nut. Tap the end of the stud with a plastic driver to release the squeeze bushing. Pull the heater out Heater and sensor is easily accessed through back panel. See trouble shooting section for specs and error codes. Replacement Insert the heater making certain it is placed with bend down and enters the retainer Tighten nut till you see the seal starting to puff out around flange Nut DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN

Bearing and Seal See Haier America Parts and Service Website for latest information * Remove control panel and front cover *Remove mounting screws from dispenser housing *Remove counter weights (mark location before removing) *Remove drain and fill hoses *Remove motor *Remove shock absorbers – be careful to fully support tub *Carefully lift outer drum and remove through front opening

  38. Bearing and Seal See Haier America Parts and Service Website for latest information Rear main seal and heater Drum Assembly with boot and drain attached 25 screws around center of drum split the halves. Use care when reassembling – do not over-tighten. Watch that the O-ring seal is in place between halves.
