  4. The basic technique is to treat it in exactly the same way as you would any other reference, say, an article in an academic journal. Thus you need to collect and re-arrange for your reference list a variety of different pieces of information.

  5. The URL of the website • The author of the article • The date it appeared in the hard-copy of the Newspaper • The date you accessed the website • The title of the article • The page in the newspaper on which it appeared, or the page of the website if the former is not available. • NB sometimes no page numbers are obtainable but you should cite them whenever possible.

  6. The URL

  7. Re-arrange the information you have found in the style of the referencing format you are using on the module in question. In the example below it is a version of the MLA format. Langley, W., (2008), ‘ Ratan Tata rode the tiger economy and now he drives Jaguar’, The Daily Telegraph, 30th March, http://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/main.jhtml?xml=/opinion/2008/03/30/do3011.xml, accessed 4.4.08

  8. Add the citation in the appropriate place (alphabetically sorted by author’s surname) in your reference list:

  9. References … Lamming, R., Phillips, W. & Caldwell, N., (2002), 'Turning the Value-transparency Concept into Practice: A Conceptual Model and Results from Case Studies’, Proceedings of the 11th IPSERA Conference, Twente, pp. 422-433 Lamming, R., Phillips, W. & Caldwell, N., (2003), 'Implementing value-transparency: Managerial concepts and approaches', Proceedings of the 12th IPSERA Conference, Budapest, pp. 853-862 Langley, W., (2008), ‘ Ratan Tata rode the tiger economy and now he drives Jaguar’, The Daily Telegraph, 30th March, http://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/main.jhtml?xml=/opinion/2008/03/30/do3011.xml, accessed 4.4.08 Leszinski, R. & Marn, M., (1997), 'Setting value, not price', The McKinsey Quarterly, 1., pp. 99-115 Lewicki, R., Saunders, D. & Minton, J., (1999), …
