Under the blood of the Passover Lamb When God was determined to destroy the first born of man and beast in Egypt, through His grace He provided a way for Israel to escape the plague. If Israel would put the blood of the lamb on the door posts and lintel of the house, God would spare those in the house. Notice that Grace gave the plan, but Israel infaith had to paint the blood of the lamb on the door.
Christ is the Lamb of God • John the Baptist’s Testimony of Jesus: John 1:29 -- Behold, the Lamb of God, that takes away the sin of the world.
Christ is the Lamb of God • Christ is our Passover Lamb I Corinthians 5:7—Therefore, purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
Christ is the Lamb of God • Christ is the lamb slain Revelation 5:9—And they sang a new song, saying: For you are worthy to take the scroll, and to open the seals; for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood.

The Question: How did CHRIST Tell us to come under His Blood? In the rest of this study, we are going to look at the common plan taught by evangelical churches and compare that to what the scripture says. This study in no way denies grace or faith. It is answering the question above.

Coming under the BloodHow Men Teach It-1 You must confess that Jesus is God, that He has authority over your life, that He died on the cross and rose from the dead to forgive your sin. By faith you believe and are made right with God.

I believe you died on the cross and rose from the dead so that I might receive eternal life. I turn from my sins and ask for forgiveness from you. Right now I trust You as my Savior and will follow you as my Lord.

The Testimony of Acts of the Apostles We urge that you make a serious study of the book of Acts and look at the conversions of sinners to Christ found in this book. Try as we may, we find no evidence in the story of conversions to Christ of any one coming under the blood of Jesus by saying the prayer in slide 4 of How Men Teach It.

Why Baptism? • Acts 2:38 - Baptism is for the remission of sins. • Acts 22:16- Baptism is the time that our sins are washed away. • 1 Peter 3:21-Baptism is the place that our conscience is made right.
Why Baptism? • Romans 6:3-6 - Baptism is the place where we are crucified with Christ. • Galatians 3:26,27 - Baptism is the place where we in faith put on Christ. • Acts 2:38-Baptism is the place that God gives us the Holy Spirit.
Why Baptism? • Baptism is the in time at which we call on the name of the Lord. Acts 22:16 • Baptism is the place at which we in faith are buried with Christ and circumcised from our sins. Colossians 2:11-13
Why Baptism?Conclusions • Baptism is the point in time in which we come under the blood of Jesus. • Baptism is the point in time at which God fully bestows His Grace on us.
Why Baptism? • Since Christ commands baptism, it is the point at which we show we have faith which produces obedience. • Man tells you to demonstrate this with a prayer. WHO WILL YOU TRUST? Colossians 2:8-10
COMING UNDER THE BLOOD • Israel was saved by grace through faith when they painted the blood of the lamb on the door. They had to manifest their faith in simple obedience to the word of God. Without this obedience, they would have had the plague strike them just as it did the Egyptians.
COMING UNDER THE BLOOD • We likewise by grace through faith are saved from the plague of sin. We like- wise must have the blood of the Lamb painted on us to escape the plague. We manifest our faith in simple obedience to the will of God by being baptized into Christ (coming under His Blood) according to His command.
COMING UNDER THE BLOOD • Israel earned nothing by acting upon the command of God. They simply trusted the word of God and acted in faith. • We earn nothing when we act upon the command of Christ to be baptized. We simply trust the word of Christ and act in faith.
COMING UNDER THE BLOOD Which command will you obey: 1)SAY THIS PRAYER RIGHT NOW (The teaching of men) 2) BELIEVE AND BE BAPTIZED (The teaching of Christ) IT CANNOT BE WRONG TO OBEY CHRIST, THE LAMB OF GOD! Luke 6:46-49
