  3. Demerits and merits • Began Today • Each cheerleader is allowed 2 unexcused absences • For the entire year • After 2, demerits will begin • All cheer events are required (games, practice, bonding, etc.) • Remember merits must be earned before demerits

  4. Demerits/merits cont. • Each cheerleader will initial off on all demerits and merits with coach • Please refer to the constitution to see the breakdown • How to earn merits • Approved tumbling gyms • Gymtastic • Reflex • Pearland elite • Alpha omega • other gyms and/or private coaches must be approved by sponsor • Community service • coordinator must email us detailing the event and your time spent

Cheer class • 1st period this year • Be dressed when coming to school • Will have 15-20 min to dress for school • Syllabus for course will be given during 1st week of school • Grading guidelines • Attendance • Non practice days • Report to gym no later than 7:15 a.m. • Practice days(Begins Sept 9th) • Varsity: practice every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 a.m. • Jv: practice every Tuesday at 6:30 a.m.

  6. camp • Depart 7/29/2014 at 6 a.m. AND RETURN 8/01/2014 at 1 p.m. • Packing list will be given to each girl at a later date (hardcopy and email) • SHARING SISTERS • TRASH BAG AND SOME YARN • MONEY • EXTRA FOOD IS OPTIONAL • All cheerleaders must be at mhs for 6 a.m. to board the charter bus • Parents will be allowed at camp on final day ONLY!!!! • Approximately 8 a.m. (GIRLS WILL TEXT YOU THE EXACT TIME) • Free parking • Watch girls perform • Cheerleaders may ride home with parents • paperwork

FALL CALENDAR • August 5th : Sign Painting Day • Must have a sack lunch with them • Dress in clothes you don’t mind getting paint on • Game days (times given below and/or on calendar are subject to change) • Jv game times vary • Jv sisters: one cheerleader responsible for water/one cheerleader responsible for snack • JV be dressed and present in baldwin’s room no later than 4:30 • Varsity sisters: one cheerleader responsible for water /one cheerleader responsible for team gift basket (Alternate) • Varsity be dressed and present at cheer closet (C113) no later than 5:00 on away games and 5:30 on home games • Dressed = Hair up according to Coach’s Directions, Uniform Completely On, Shoes On, and Done eating. If not dressed accordingly at the time given demerits will be given

FALL CALENDAR • Cheer Dinners • All Squads: Sept 5th, Oct. 3rd, and Oct 31st(JV cheers at these 3 varsity games) • Need 3 parents from EACH squad to sign up for all squad dinners • team dinner days: JV is on Sept 18th and Varsity is on Sept 19th • Need 2 parents from each squad to sign up forTeam Dinners • Bonding Events • JV upcoming event on Aug 8th, details will be coming soon • Sept 4th: tumbler cup party (Varsity will attend 1sthalf of JV game) • Need 2 parents from each squad to sign up • Oct 2nd : Megaphone Party (Varsity will attend 1st half of JV game) • Need 3 Parents from each squad to sign up • Two open bonding events on Nov 15th(jv) and nov 16th (varsity). Details will be given at a later date

Fall calendar • Playoffs (Varsity only) • Begins Nov 14th • Subject to play on either that Friday or Saturday • Do not schedule anything on those days for we will not have information until the week before • Fundraisers (required by all varsity members/merit option for jv members) • Carwash 1 • Ticket sales: Aug 29th –Sept 12th ($5 for a car and $7 for a Svu) • Date: Sept 13th Time 8:00 a.m. – 2 p.m. Location TBA • Carwash 2 • Ticket sales: Sept 29th –oct 10th ($5 for a car and $7 for a Svu) • Date: oct 11th Time 8:00 a.m. – 2 p.m. Location TBA **JV has the option to sell tickets, help at carwash, or do both for merits** • SPED Clinic • Registration: Oct 6th–Oct 13th ($20 fee) • Participants Receive a T-Shirt and get to Perform at Varsity Game on Oct 17th (1st quarter only) • Must have on transportation to clinic and game (entry into game will be free for participant only)

  12. Varsity only • Competition season • Morning practices • Coach coming to campus • If practice is missed during November or December your spot is subject to being moved or removed from the routine • Hoping to do 2 competitions in the spring • Fundraising • Each cheerleader must raise $600 (competition fees, Choreographer, Bow) • Must sell at least 5 carwash tickets to each carwash (total $100/ cheerleader) • Any proceeds from sped clinic will be split amongst cheerleaders

  13. Varsity only • Other Fundraising options • Sponsors (need to get about $400 from sponsors) • The more sponsors we have the more support we gain • Sponsor letter available upon request • Work a day at Bey International Hair Salon (Earn Approximately $60/ cheerleader) • Sign up sheet with dates will be coming soon
