Background • Inconsistent navigation to existing setups • Mostly standalone, Lack of central access point • Goal in Fusion is to promote a centralized setup concept • Implementation and ongoing setups • Model already presented to most UX Pillar Managers, Central Setup Team, Fusion Navigation Working Group, FASC, Fusion Setup Working Group etc.
Proposal • Centralized Setup and Maintenance Work Area • One central Setup and Maintenance work area with optimized views of tasks based on user roles • Staying away from individual setup work areas per user object • Only one menu item pertaining to Setup and Maintenance • Leverage the Task List Manager within the Central Setup and Maintenance Work Area to drill down and perform activities and tasks • Task List Manager (developed by Central Setup team) will contain all setup activities and tasks tagged as “S” and “S or T” in the BPM spreadsheet • Multiple access points to Setup Activities and Tasks in the Central Setup and Maintenance Work Area • Via the “Setup and Maintenance” menu item • From launch points in transactional work areas • From launch points within Home and Transactional Dashboards • Via Global Worklist items
Application Implementation Consultant • “Setup and Maintenance” Menu item takes user to the central Setup and Maintenance work area • User can drill down to various business process, detailed business process, activity and product setup tasks via the task list manager
Application Admin • One central Setup and Maintenance work area across user objects • Staying away from individual setup work areas per user object • “Setup and Maintenance” Menu item takes user to the central setup work area • Central Setup and Maintenance work area will contained a filtered task list (within Task List Manager) based on user role • User can drill down to various setup tasks via the task list manager
Functional User • One central Setup and Maintenance work area across user objects • Staying away from individual setup work areas per user object • In Transactional Work Area’s: • Can expose launch points to related setup activities and tasks available in the central setup work area • Navigate directly to a setup activity or setup task in the central setup work area (depending on task dependencies) • Task List Manager will not be replicated
