NECG Website Review – Questions for the Group • Having considered the above there are a number of questions we should consider re the future direction of our website including: • What should we do with our website? • How can we improve it? • Consider what we like about it? • Who should the audience be? • There is a lot of info on the NECG website and associated sites for practitioners but not public. Should we widen appeal/promote? • continued
NECG Website Review – Questions for the Group continued… • Should we go through the Coastal Group website to access the SMP? (like the Severn website) • Should we have links to working groups on the website? • Should we clarify and make more prominent the links to Coastal Observatory, Coastal Explorer etc…? • I think the site could be interactive. What do you think? Ideas include: • Policy links • Web cam • Bouy data • Aerial photograpy or videos, including historic photographs and photos of storm events • Aerial fly through • Links to wavenet data • We need to consider the cost implications for making improvements and decide if expenditure on the website is worthwhile and if so who will do it?
