  2. My Strengths: 3 • One strength is that I will definitely plan to use the digital movie and glogs in my classroom setting. This is a strength because I feel comfortable enough to use both types of technology in the classroom. • I will definitely possess the use of computers in my room for students to research on, even though it is more of an external use from the school I must have computers in the classroom for reseaching, AR testing, etc. • I will also possess the use of having a few ipads in my classroom. During free time have students use ipads would be a good use of technology.

  3. My Weaknesses: 3 • I would say one weakness to include would be the any online group work. For Elementary school that might be to much anyways, but that is something I would lack in knowing how to organize it. Taking more time to organize something like this would be beneficial. • Having the use of smart boards in the classroom is something that I would have to get use to. I think they are a great idea, I would just have to take in instructional class on how to cooperate the use of a smart board. • Another weakness would be podcasting. It took me a few hours just to understand how to work a podcast, it might be a little more difficult on how to teach a class how to create a podcast. Though I think it is a neat idea for a project of presentation. I would have to research more about podcasting, but they could be of use.

  4. My Opportunities: 3 • Smart boards is one external use that schools have that allow children to use and get familiar with. It’s a more creative way to teach from a computer and it allows students to play educational games as a whole group. • Computers are of course, the most important thing that the schools have because it allows students to research and create work on. Such as power point, word, etc. • Audio recordings are a third kind of technology use that has been around for the longest, to help students follow along when reading passages or when recording themselves reading for a kind of assessment.

  5. My Threats: 3 • Smart boards, because they are so new to the classroom, students may tend to try and argue over who gets to write on the smart boards and play on the smart boards. Taking turns is one way of dealing with arguments. • If I provided a few ipads in the classroom for free time, students might also try to fuss over how much time one person has had over another, which might be a hassle to deal with. Taking turns and picking days for each student is one way of dealing with the situation. • Another kind of technology is the use of cell phones or iPods. Students will tend to take advantage of this in the classroom, so that will be a rule from day one.

Essential conditions I can Influence: 3 • Empowered Leaders-Stakeholders at every level empowered to be leaders in effecting change. • Equitable Access - Robust and reliable access to current and emerging technologies and digital resources, with connectivity for all students, teachers, staff, and school leaders . • Student-Centered Learning - Planning, teaching, and assessment centered around the needs and abilities of students.

  8. Assistive Technology Tools: 2 • A screen reader for the visually impaired. I might have someone who is visually impaired in my classroom so a screen reader would be a great idea to have! • An adaptive keyboard for students for the physically challenged. That way it reduces the strain on students by alphabetizing the letters.

  9. 2 Goals: • For any kind of online work, having more communication skills with everyone within the groups would be a goal. This can be acquired by exchanging numbers from the start or emailing, etc. This is an easy fix. • Another goal is knowing how to teach or to maintain keeping students engaged in wanting to use technology. Whether this is in the classroom or at home, so they know the importance of the use of technology,. I want to be able to teach my points relating to technology in a manner that makes it fun and creative for students so they will want to try something new.
