  4. Background T-P-S • Review your Problems and Solutions Table • Is Montag in control of himself when he confronts Mildred’s friends with his books and then throws both women out of his house? Why or why not? • Does Montag seem more in control when he realizes he is a fugitive and must make plans to escape? Explain. • What do you think has caused this change in Montag?

Listening • Listen to pgs 125-130. • T-P-S • How does Montag solve the problem of crossing the boulevard? • Why do you think Montag is more in control of himself now? • Why does Montag hide the book in Mr. and Mrs. Black’s home and then turn in an alarm? • What does this reveal about his character?

What does he mean by “Harvard degrees”? • Why is the Mechanical Hound still a threat to Montag? • What do you think that Faber means by saying that their earphone radios were good fro both of them?
