Against • It is too late to put up a paywall • Customers do not have the expectation to pay since web news emerged • There are so many substitutes for online news websites • The product is not worth the price • Too little emphasis on substance • Too much time spent on entertaining and exciting readers • The loss of potential readers from entering the website • The loss of existing readers and advertisements • Both of those would switch to other websites that offer same content
