Goals for Today To understand the story of Hercules and the Serpents in context. To be able to list the grammatical features of the Latin nouns and verbs in the story. To be able to understand why this story of Hercules and the serpents is prominent and important in art & sculpture.
Hercules and the Serpents Iphicles, the brother of Hercules, shouted in a loud voice; but Hercules himself, the strongest boy, not at all was frightened. With small hands, he seized the snakes immediately, and squeezed their necks with great force. In such a way, the snakes were killed by the boy.
