  4. Skilled Trade Apprenticeships • Requirements vary—applicants must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or GED. Often, you must pass a math/mechanical aptitude test. • What you will earn depends on your individual circumstances • Average Journeyman Rate of the 16 Trades in Michigan • $22.00 per hour - Base Rate @ 45% -- $ 9.90 - Per Hour • Your training is part of your apprenticeship, so unlike someone who has gone to a two or four year college program, you won’t have a college loan to pay-off with your income. • Visit the RHS counseling website: Click on Apprenticeship Information

CREATE/CHECK PARCHMENT ACCOUNT FOR TRANSCRIPTS • Go to School Website, High School, Counseling Office • Select Electronic Transcript Request • Create your Parchment Portfolio What to Do NOW • www.careercruising.com • Username: Richmond; Password: BlueDevils • Go to your EDP and enter YOUR username (first initial last name) and password (student number) • Get your portfolio 100% complete. Be sure it is ACCURATE. • Click on the Financial Aid tab and complete the financial aid selector. Then…. Finally…. ACT Prep—Go to www.number2.com
