  15. Why do most people in New England now specialize in service industries instead of manufacturing? During the past 50 years, many textile mills and other factories have left the New England states. Factories have moved to places where their products can be made more cheaply.

  16. Why are volunteers examples of good citizens? Volunteers work to help their community for no pay. Some volunteers clean up litter or work in hospitals.
